A Breath of Fresh Air

I found this a thoroughly enjoyable book with clear rules and supporting information.As the author makes clear, the rules are intended for fun games, but they also retain the necessary element of historical accuracy to give a feel for the period.I have been a Wargamer for over 40 years and have always valued the "fun" aspect of what I regard as a social hobby. These rules fit the bill and are a refreshing change from the turgid and ultra complex sets that until recently seemed so fashionable.They are suited to both beginners and old hands and I highly recommend them.

A solid set of rules for the Seven Years War

Keith has written a solid set of rules for the Seven Years War; what I like most about them is the variables are subtle, meaning at no point in a game will you reach that moment where you can no longer win. Nice production values from Osprey; their first wargames books were not very good, but this is a big improvement. I'm going to adapt them to the Jacobite Rebellion.
