Terrible publishing quality

Looks absolutely dreadful, terrible formatting and the page I looked at had 5 spelling mistakes. Hope my husband gets use out of it, despite of it, bit of a poor present I feel. :(

Decent introduction to field recording, awfully formatted.

The book is clearly targeted at beginners.Good: there's a decent amount of useful information, tips and checklists. It's obvious that the guy knows his stuff and has been there before. If you have no idea what field recording is then you'll probably have use for this.Bad: half of the book is actually white space. A quarter of the book is actually repeating stuff that's already been said. Some faulty printing here and there but since everything is stated at least twice this doesn't impact the ability to understand what's being written.Paul should write an in depth book on field recording to make up for the disappointment that this book was.

Excellent and thorough guide.

An excellent and comprehensive guide to the subject. Should be required reading for anyone about to start working in this field and is also a good refresher course for those who've been involved for a while.
