advice around breastfeeding is negative and outdated. Routine and slip tips brilliant

I used the mini sleep book to get my first child to nap through the day and sleep well at night. It worked like a dream - and within a matter of days.This book fails in its outdated and frankly negative advice / language around breastfeeding. Ignore the suggestions that problems may be due to poor supply (you have enough! And if not, your baby will help you make more by feeding more) ignore the suggestion to guage yield by seeing how much you can express (some women can express very little yet successfully breastfeed their babies). This kind of language / advice can knock breastfeeding mums' confidence and lead to early cessation of breastfeeding ☹️

Not very helpful, written in a very self promoting manner. Bought when child 4 months old, felt as though constantly reiterated I had bought it late. Made me less confident about parenting rather than more.Technique tried for over a week made baby and myself more stressed, made his reflux worse and messed with my milk supply.

Help for new parents

I bought this book for my daughter who has a new baby , their first. It has been invaluable and their little one has now settled into a lovely routine, much to the envy of several friends who also have small babies. Feeding on demand is difficult and very restrictive for all concerned but once regular times are established what a difference that can make. Also advice about what baby actually needs and how to understand this has been very helpful. All new mums would benefit from this book, would recommend highly.
